Had trouble choosing childcare? Didn’t know what to ask and felt you needed more support?
When Rebecca McIntosh started looking at day care options for her son four years ago she was shocked by the distinct lack of information about the options available in her local area. Now, the Brisbane entrepreneur and mother of two is set to launch a website called ‘Daycare Decisions’, which is aimed at crowd sourcing information about day care centres, allowing people to post reviews and opinions of their experiences at the various centers throughout Australia. Rebecca has just been accepted into a digital start-up accelerator program, ilab and will spend the next 3 months, testing and developing her idea. She hopes that the website will be something similar to trip advisor or iselect, allowing parents to choose childcare based on a range of comparable criteria and most importantly opinions of other parents.
If you are based in Australia would like to share your opinion and help shape the development of Daycare Decisions please take a few minutes to fill out this survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/2MSYDP
